<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control secondary power of a three-phase induction machine without brushes, to improve torque generating efficiency of the induction machine, and to downsize a device. <P>SOLUTION: A first induction machine, whose stator winding is connected to a three-phase AC power source, and its rotor winding is connected to the rotor winding of a directly connected second induction machine. Two sets of three-phase windings each having phase difference of 30 degrees at the electrical angle is provided for the stator of the second induction machine. A power converting device connected to those windings makes a current flow into each phase winding of the stator of the second induction machine, by superimposing a current constituent of a frequency three-time larger than a basic wave frequency on a current constituent of the basic wave frequency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
