PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safer and highly reliable ultrasonic probe with a simple structure and an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus. SOLUTION: Detected signals from a temperature sensor 43 is computed into a temperature by a probe microcomputer 13. Based on the result obtained by the computing, the ultrasonic probe has a means to halt the operations of the ultrasonic probe when a ultrasound propagation medium reaches a set temperature or higher.
