PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film plane holding structure capable of improving the flatness of a film by surely sucking the film to a pressure plate, and, attaining the reduction of battery power consumption. SOLUTION: The structure is provided with the pressure plate 31 which is brought into contact with the rear side of the film F so as to keep the film plane, an air chamber 32 formed behind the pressure plate 31, a plurality of suction holes 33 for discharging the air in the air chamber 32 to the outside so as to suck the film F to the pressure plate 31, and a pair of pressing means 111 and 121 separately arranged on both sides of the air chamber 32 in the film feeding direction so as to hold the film F with pressure between the pressure plate 31 and the means 111 and 121. The air in the air chamber 32 is discharged so as to suck the film F to the pressure plate 31, and also, the film F is pressed against the pressure plate 31 and held by the pressing means 111 and 121, then, the flatness of the film is enhanced.
