PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide wax or solder material and its production method, which can effectively improve wettability of the wax or the solder material without using flux. SOLUTION: A halogen compound is blended at the production of the solder material, or the surface of a formed solder material is filmed or halogenated. The halogen compound is added to a molten solder in the production of the solder material, or a film of the halogen compound is formed on the surface of a processed solder material, or the surface of the processed solder material is changed into a halogen compound layer by halogenation.
