PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting constitution of a transplanting and opening device free from falling of the transplanting and opening device is provided by a load applied in the vertical movement of the transplanting and opening device, in a vegetable transplanter for transplanting relatively large pot seedlings such as tobacco seedlings, etc. SOLUTION: The transplanting and opening device 151 is supported from the right and left by an opening device supporting shaft 159 to be moved in the vertical direction by power from an engine 103 and a guide body 171 to be guided to a guide means 153 attached to a machine body frame. The guide means 153 is equipped with a longitudinal guide rail 253 to regulate the longitudinal movement of the guide body 171 and a right and left guide rail 254 to regulate the right and left movement of the guide body 171. The guide body 171 is equipped with a longitudinal guide roller 173 to be supported on a supporting shaft 175 in the right and left direction and a bearing 178 and a right and left guide roller 174 to be supported on a supporting shaft 176 in the longitudinal direction.
