METHOD FOR THE EXTRACTION OF LIPIDS FROM NACREOUS MOLLUSCS

The method for extraction of a lipid active agent from a solid material obtained from a nacreous mollusc comprised the steps: grinding the nacre to give a fine powder, preferably with a mean granulometry of less than 20 ñm, placing the powder in contact with a lipid solvent, separation of the solvent and extraction of the lipid active agent by evaporation of the solvent.
