If it is detected that a vehicle is in a travel standby state, a predetermined musical sound is generated periodically. Along with this musical sound generation, indication varying periodically synchronously with the musical sound generation period is conducted. Thus the fact that the vehicle is in a travel standby state is annunciated to the occupant visually and audibly, and therefore the occupant can viscerally understand that the vehicle is in a travel standby state. For each internal operation state of the vehicle brought about according to an instruction of operation means for making an instruction to start or stop of the vehicle, a musical sound corresponding to the internal operation state is generated for a predetermined musical sound generation time. Along with the musical sound generation, light-emitting means is controlled so that the amount of light gradually increases/decreases for a predetermined time. In such a way, annunciation friendly and easy to understand can be made as if the occupant felt that "the vehicle awakes" or "the vehicle falls asleep".
