PURPOSE: A magneto-optical disk and a fabrication method thereof are provided to continuously stratify a recording layer and an intermediate layer of a magneto-optical disk having an MAMMOS(Magnetic Amplifying Magneto-Optical System) in one chamber, thereby reducing a fabrication process. CONSTITUTION: A substrate is prepared. A reproducing layer is formed on the substrate. An intermediate layer is formed on the reproducing layer. A recording layer is formed on the intermediate layer. The intermediate layer and the reproducing layer are formed in the same chamber. The intermediate layer is formed through a sputtering process while flowing nitrogen by targeting on TbFeCo. The recording layer is sputtered under the same condition as the sputtering of the intermediate layer, except for the nitrogen which does not flow.
