<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a code reading system capable of reading an identification code in minimum necessary reading time both in the case of a few micro tubes and in the case of many micro tubes accommodated in a rack. <P>SOLUTION: A code reading frame 10 placed on a scanning surface 320 of a flatbed type scanner 300 to perform batch reading of identification codes 220 applied to bottom faces of a plurality of receptacles through horizontal shuttle motion of the flatbed type scanner 300 has a rack guide for holding at least one rack 180 for accommodating a plurality of the receptacles in a longitudinally standing posture, and a receptacle holding part, punched in the rack guide, for holding at least one of the receptacles in a longitudinally standing posture. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
