<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein extension is required in every extraction of an electronic document to require a long processing time, when all the electronic documents are compressed to be stored in an electronic binder (archive file). <P>SOLUTION: The compression or non-compression is automatically selected by the electronic document, when archiving the electronic documents. Whether each electronic document is to be stored under a compressed condition or a non-compressed condition is determined in each of the electronic documents, based on a prescribed reference, the electronic document determined to be stored under the compressed condition is controlled to be stored under the compressed condition, and the electronic document determined to be stored under the non-compressed condition is controlled to be stored under the non-compressed condition, and the archive file is generated thereby. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
