<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the constitution of a toner carrying device itself and to provide a toner carrying device including a carrying path, which can be more flexibly laid out in an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A toner carrying device 20 is provided with; a toner tank 30 for storing toner 11a; a tubular tube 44 having one end coupled to the toner tank 30; a toner discharge part 40 to which the other end of the tube 44 is coupled; a piece arranged so as to be movable in the tube 44; and a driving device 50 for moving the piece 61 back and forth with prescribed strokes along the carrying direction of the toner 11a.
