<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a firing tool for firing a rod-like zirconia sintered compact which has a good straightness and is suitable for manufacturing a ferrule. <P>SOLUTION: High purity alumina layers are laminated on the upper face and the lower surface of a low purity alumina layer, and a plurality of grooves for mounting objects to be fired are provided on the high purity alumina layers.
