<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a guitar-like harmonics playing style by a guitar type electronic stringed instrument. <P>SOLUTION: A fret operation element 1 is touched with a hand and then a 1st touch sensor 12 outputs a 1st detection signal D1. The fret operation element 1 is pressed and then a contact switch 11 is turned on to detect pitch data. A plunk sensor 110d detect a dummy string 110a of a string input part 110 being plunked. A musical sound of harmonics is generated on detecting a weak touch on the fret operation element 1 and plunking strength exceeding a prescribed value.
