<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an increase in the width of a light shielding pattern caused by patterning deviation in a light shielding region of a color filter. <P>SOLUTION: In a color filter substrate, colored layers 214(B), 214(R) and 214(G) of a plurality of colors are arranged in a prescribed pattern and the color filter substrate is made of the same material with the material of the colored layer 214(B) of one color among the plurality of colored layers.
