<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high performance transflective liquid crystal display device with a structure which is effective for both transmission and reflection modes respectively. <P>SOLUTION: A laminated body of a transparent electrode 23 and a light reflection film 20 is aligned and formed in stripes on an inner face of a glass substrate 1 and is covered with an alignment layer 24. A light transmission hole 40 is formed on the light reflection film 20 in a region corresponding to an outer periphery of a pixel. Also a light reflection film 41 is formed on an inner face of a glass substrate 2 in a region corresponding to the outer periphery of the pixel, on which a transparent resin layer 30 containing light scattering fine particles is formed with a transparent electrode 18 and an alignment layer 19 laminated thereon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
