<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eye mask which certainly maintains hydration of both eye balls and effectively improves symptoms of dry eye. <P>SOLUTION: The eye mask 13 is constituted of a main body 11 of the eye mask, a closely contacting material 20 attached to the peripheral edge of the back surface, a gauze 19 fixed to the main body 11 by the peripheral edge held tightly between the closely contacting material 20 and the main body 11, and behind-the-ear bands 18 provided on both sides of the main body 11. The gauze 19 has protruding parts 19a at places, which abut on both eye ball regions, and the periphery is made into a flat part 19b. The gauze 19 also contains electron water, and the protruding parts 19a contain more electron water than the flat part 19b. When the eye mask 13 is attached to the face, a decrease in tear secretion is compensated by compressing each eye ball region with the protruding parts 19a and by replenishing both eye balls with the electron water from the protruding parts 19a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
