PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that large attenuation occurs in a signal passing characteristic of a user's wiring in a frequency band determined by the length of a branched line due to interference with a reflected wave because a signal is reflected from an end part of the branched line when the branched line exists in the user's wiring and the end part is left as an open end. SOLUTION: A resistor 10 of a resistance value corresponding to the impedance of the branched line 4 is connected to the end part of the branched line 4 of the user's wiring to which a modem 2 for xDSL communication which transmits a digital signal in a frequency within a prescribed range higher than a frequency of a telephone band is connected through metal telephone line so as not to make the signal reflect.
