PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver capable of smoothly performing recording reservation operation even if the collision of operation occurs when reserving the recording of a program. SOLUTION: The broadcast receiver comprises a user profile management section 18 for storing a user profile for each of a plurality of users, and a user profile selection part 17 for selecting the required user profile from a plurality of user profiles. By the user profile selection part 17; the user profile to each user is selected, the selected user profile is referred, and channel selection operation according to the attribute of each user is made.
