<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system in which the terminal can use its own GW server even when the moving terminal performs data communication from a destination in roaming. <P>SOLUTION: In the gateway-server communication method, a terminal 30 transmits to a closest GW server (B)10<SB>2</SB>a service request containing information for recognizing a present GW server (A)10<SB>1</SB>which accommodates the terminal 30, the GW server (B)10<SB>2</SB>discriminates the GW server which accommodates the terminal, and transfers to the terminal's GW server (A)10<SB>1</SB>data received from the terminal 30, and the GW server (A)10<SB>1</SB>receives the data from the GW server (B)10<SB>2</SB>and transmits service data to the GW server (B)10<SB>2</SB>. The GW server (B)10<SB>2</SB>then transmits the service data which are transferred from the GW server (A)10<SB>1</SB>, to the terminal 30.
