<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and multi-pole electric connection plug without its contacts exposed at all time. <P>SOLUTION: A header part 1A to be inserted into a counterpart receptacle is protruded from a frame part 1B. The header part 1A and the frame part 1B are integrated to make up an insulating plug housing 1. A plurality of contacts to be bent leaf springs are held by a mounting plate part 12 so that their bent tip parts 21 arrayed in parallel in pair are opposed to each other. A shutter 3 wraps or exposes the plurality of the contacts 2 from both sides according to their forward or backward movement. An elastic member 5 biases the shutter with a progressing force for wrapping the plurality of the contacts 2 from both sides. An interval between the bent tip parts of the pair of the plurality of the contacts is made slightly larger than a width of a tip part 11, and the plurality of the contacts 2 are arranged so as to exert the pressure on counterpart receptacle contact. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
