PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress any influence on a task to the minimum at the time of backing up original document data. SOLUTION: This alteration verifying device is provided with a backup original document list table 14 in which the list of original document data and media names are stored so as to be made to correspond to each other, a backup medium management table 15 in which the media names and alteration verification conditions are stored so as to be made to correspond to each other and an original document backup part 16 for backing up the original document data without verifying the alternation of the original data stored in an original document storing part 12. Furthermore, this alternation verifying device is provided with an alteration verifying part 17 for verifying the alternation of the original data by referring to the original document data stored in the original document storing part 12 based on the backup original document list table 14, and for adding information indicating that the originality of the original document data whose alteration verification has been finished of the backup original document list table 14 is guaranteed and a restoring part 18 for restoring the original document data based on the original data in the latest generation among the original document data stored in the backup medium when the alternation of the original document data is verified.
