The ball screw drive includes a spindle (2) and spindle nut (1), between which is a row (4) of balls (3) revolving in an endless channel (5). The spindle nut has a cage (7a) provided with a stop (19), and the nut component (6a) has a counter stop (20), whereby the two stops bear one against the other under spring force. A ball row revolves in the endless channel at both ends of the spindle nut. The helical tracks (7) at both ends of the spindle nut have an X-arrangement in relation to one another. The nut component has a sleeve (10) formed especially from sheet metal and at both ends has a ring (13) fitted for the provision of the helical tracks.
