The burst protection (01) for a tank cover (06) is fitted in a recess (05) of the cover and has a plate (08) which lies on the edge (11) of the recess. The plate has an opening in which is movably fitted a bolt which by its end lying above the plate is fastened to a cover (02). The burst protection is detachably connected to the tank cover, and the plate is elastically deformable. At least one means of fastening (10) are provided on the plate for the detachable fastening of the plate on the tank cover.
