A relative movement between wheel and wheel drive is derived from the momentum created by the driven wheel, and used to adjust an element, which influences traveling stability, or the load on an element located near a wheel. Reduction in the drive momentum causes reverse adjustment using a power accumulation element. The elements are e.g. air guide plates for cooling of wheel brakes, a coupling e.g. to drive a cooling ventilator, to vary tire inflation, or to alter axle kinematics.
