<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high-accuracy individual identification using user's intrinsic information. <P>SOLUTION: A personal digital assistant includes a non-contact sensor for detecting approach of a user' finger or hand and outputting the user's intrinsic information. In registration, the person is made to grip the personal digital assistant and the information on the gripping way is obtained and registered.
