PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for toner and toner having excellent fixability, anti-offset properties and storage stability. SOLUTION: The resin composition for toner consists of: a vinyl copolymer consisting essentially of a styrenic monomer and a (meth)acrylic ester monomer; a low melting point crystalline compound; and a polystyrene-polyolefin block copolymer. In a sea-island structure formed by the vinyl copolymer and the low melting point crystalline compound, the island-forming low melting point crystalline compound observed with a transmission electron microscope occupies an average particle area of 0.5 to 20μm<SP>2</SP>in an arbitrary 25μm×25μm area and shows a maximum particle area of≤30μm<SP>2</SP>.
