PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, in a conventional socket for an IC, a signal flows from a contact/terminal of a package to a pattern on a printed-circuit board via a probe, but since a characteristic impedance becomes uncertain, a noise is apt to be picked and a power supply loss becomes large, if the signal is a high frequency wave. SOLUTION: The socket for an electronic part having bases 2, 3 for electrically connecting a contact/a terminal of an electronic part A such as an IC for surface mounting with a pattern on the print-circuit board 50 has a coaxial structure by housing the probe for the signal other than a probe for a ground potential in the bases 2, 3 into the holes of the bases 2, 3 under a condition that the outer periphery of the probe for the signal is covered with a material 8 with a low dielectric coefficient.
