摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide structure facilitating the manufacture of a flat-plate type image display element having an electrode enhancing efficiency by using a cathode material providing sufficiently strong electron emission in a low electric field and subsequently decreasing control electrode current. SOLUTION: A control electrode 7 and a cathode 4 are formed on almost the same plane of a first panel, and a control electrode line 6 electrically connecting the control electrode 7 of a plurality of pixels is not contained in a plane parallel to a fluorescent screen panel containing the cathode 4 and the control electrode 7.
