PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pendulum type dynamic damper capable of achieving compactness and light weight by efficiently achieving dynamic damper effect in spite of provision of a single mass. SOLUTION: This dynamic damper 1 is composed of the mass 2 and an elastic body 3, and it is composed to be mountable on a boss 6a provided on a bracket 6 of an engine mount 5 through an arm member 4. The mass 2 is formed roughly like a parallelopiped, and the elastic body 3 as a circular bush is provided at an eccentric position in it. In addition, at the center of the elastic body 3, the rotation center of the mass supported to overhang by the arm member 4 and the center of a torsion spring in the elastic body 3 are set to coincide for integrating one end of the arm member 4, and the center of gravity W of the mass 2 is offset by a span L from the center of the torsion spring. In the dynamic damper 1, the mass 2 is rotated like a pendulum as vibration is inputted, so that the elastic body 3 is torsionally deformed. Dynamic damper effect is thus efficiently achieved by an equivalent mass increased by pendulum motion of the mass 2 and the torsion spring of the elastic body 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
