PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device for easily and inexpensively providing a mechanism causing no problem even if a user noticing an error in feeding paper stops or pulls recording paper in the inverse direction of the carrying direction, and causing no hindrance even if the recording paper is extracted without weakening carrying force of a carrier roller in the image forming device having a spring clutch for transmitting and cutting off driving force to a recording paper carrying roller with a rotational starting point. SOLUTION: A projection for restricting the thrust directional movement by the diametral contraction of a spring and a recess space for allowing the extension of the spring are arranged on the periphery of one end of a collar in the spring clutch. When transmitting the driving force of an input gear to a recording paper carrying roller shaft, a slide is generated in the input gear and the spring by restricting the thrust directional movement by the projection in the extension of the spring generated by force or inverse directional torque for stopping rotation applied to the recording paper carrying roller shaft, and allowing stress by deformation of the spring by the recess space.
