DISPLAY DEVICE FOR PORTABLE TERMINAL AND PORTABLE TERMINAL APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for a portable terminal in which the occurrence of noise by artificial manipulation is suppressed and a portable terminal apparatus equipped therewith.

SOLUTION: The display device for a portable terminal is a liquid crystal display device for the portable terminal which is equipped with: a liquid crystal layer 103 with a liquid crystal sealed therein; a transparent electrode 102 disposed on the display surface side of the liquid crystal layer 103 to drive the liquid crystal layer 103 by applying a prescribed electric field thereto; and an acrylic panel 112 disposed opposite to the transparent electrode 102 via an air layer 113 in order to protect the liquid crystal layer 103, wherein the acrylic panel 112 and the transparent electrode 102 form electrostatic loudspeaker structure by electrification of the acrylic panel 112. An antistatic layer 116 for preventing the formation of the electrostatic loudspeaker structure is disposed on at least one surface of a protective layer.
