PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meter lighting structure having high quality in appearance any time day or night, and high degree of freedom in setting such as the layout of a meter device. SOLUTION: This meter lighting structure has a cylindrical light guiding member 15 mounted on a peripheral edge of a meter display part 14a, a light source 9 for emitting the light from a rear end part 15b side of the light guiding member 15 toward a front end part 15a side, and a prism member 25 mounted on the front end part 15a of the light guiding member 15 and having a triangular cross-section, so that a metallic thin film layer 27 applied on an outer peripheral face side can be visually confirmed as a virtual image 28 in a front view.
