PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera module that can be downsized at a low cost. SOLUTION: The camera module is provided with: a lens 11; a lens barrel 12 for supporting the lens 11; and an image sensor chip 2 for outputting an imaging signal on the basis of the light made incident via the lens 11. Then a sensor cover 24 is placed on the image sensor chip 2. An infrared ray cut filter function for cutting off an infrared ray component of the incident light from the lens as an optical function, an optical low-pass filter function for cutting off the high frequency component of the incident light, and a stop function for limiting the passing luminous quantity depending on the strength of the incident light from the lens are attached to the sensor cover.
