PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a sign of occurrence of a failure by an instrument provided in a fuel feed passage. SOLUTION: A maintenance management system 10 is constituted such that a control circuit 16 mounted on a meter 12 reads a flowmeter measurement value measured by a flowmeter 24 to obtain a flow rate pattern, compares the flow rate pattern with a pre-registered reference pattern, reads a control program (determination means) for determining whether a difference between the patterns is within an allowable range, detects that a fluctuation (fine variation) occurs in fuel supplying speed (momentary flow rate) due to some failure occurring in a process of supplying the fuel to determine whether a sign of the failure occurrence is present, and estimates the occurrence of the failure.
