PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dumbbell to be stably locked against the motions of a user during the exercise without fatiguing muscles other than the object of exercise. SOLUTION: The dumbbell 1 comprises a grip part 2, a first loop 7 adjacent to the grip part 2, and a second loop 8 smaller than the first loop 7 adjacent to the grip part 2. In the exercise, a user inserts a palm into an insertion part 5 formed inside the first loop 7 and inserts the fingers other than the thumb into a lock part 6 formed inside the second loop 8 to lock the dumbbell 1.
