GOLFCLUB HEAD PRODUCING METHOD

A golfclub head producing method which eliminates the possibilities that the head becomes discolored and that the effects of peening, heat treatment and the like effected prior to welding are lost due to welding effected in the process of production of golfclub heads. A golfclub head is produced by welding a member while cooling a region of which it is desired to avoid discoloration and a region of which it is desired to avoid losing the effects of peening and the like effected in advance. In cooling, pressure is applied to an inert gas, such as argon gas and cooling is effected through a vortex tube, whereupon the gas is blown against the cooled region. The welding method employs laser beam welding, electron beam welding or plasma arc welding.
