A sleeve is prepared from an air-permeable material, after which a sleeve cutting (10) with first and second openings (12,14) is formed from the sleeve. The first opening (12) of the fitting is then covered, after which the fitting is put into the hollow space (18) of a brickwork (20). The fitting is filled with building foam (24) via the second opening (14), after which the second opening is sealed. An independent claim is also included for a sleeve fitting.
