A camera has a hollow portion through which a user views an object; a housing forming the hollow portion; measuring means provided at the housing, for measuring a positional relationship between the user and the camera; and imaging means provided at the housing, for obtaining an image of that portion of the object that is defined by the hollow portion. For example, based on a positional relationship measured by the measuring means, the imaging means clips an image defined by the hollow portion out of an image of the shot object and enlarges it. This way, an image of that portion of the object that is defined by the hollow portion is obtained. With the structure above, the hollow portion functions as a viewfinder, and zooming in and out are also possible by positioning the camera closer to and farther away from the user.
|
