In the present invention, there is disclosed electrochemical regeneration of lead and alkali accumulator cells. The invented process is characterized in that after subjecting an accumulator to treatment with some of regeneration admixtures based on hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution, the accumulator is primary charged and then alternately or intermittently discharged and charged. When the accumulator is already fully charged its charging continues by a current ranging from 1.1 to 4 percent and then it is discharged by a current of 0 to 5 percent, based on nominal value of the cell or accumulator battery capacity. The charging can be optionally carried out in two phases, or by a constant current. When the cell is discharged down below the level of permissible discharge it is discharged by the current of 1 to 4 percent and subsequently charged by the current of 3 to 10 percent, based on the accumulator battery capacity until cell voltage drops down to 1.6 V. Then the accumulator battery is charged to 10 to 15 percent of its nominal capacity and the whole process is 2 too 5 times repeated. |
