The guide rail (1) has at least one rail element (2) with a guide track (3) for rolling bodies. The rail element is connected to or against a plastic body (4), which forms the base body of the guide rail. The rail element is connected to a metal carrier mounting (5), which is at least partly embedded in the material of the plastic body.
