<p>The method for diagnosing secondary and tertiary hyperparathyroidism provides for estimating peripheral blood content of parathyroid hormone taking into account the specific clinical symptoms. In addition, the scintigraphic visualization of parathyroid glands is employed with 99m'c - î_é_. The accumulation of such radioactive substance in parathyroid glands is indicative of the tertiary hyperparathyroidism while the absence of the accumulation is indicative of the secondary hyperparathyroidism.</p> |
