An item of eyewear such as spectacles or sunglasses comprises two lenses and two rearwardly extending temple members, and each temple member is pivotally mounted for movement between in-use and non-use positions by means of a hinge provided in an aperture formed in a side of a respective lens. The temple members pivot through 180 DEG degrees when moving between their in-use and non-use positions, and furthermore the pivot axis of the hinge is generally horizontal. |
