The proposed method for recording data on smart cards used in processing, checking, and registering finance and statistical information implies the use of a smart card that contains an antenna, a radio transmitter, a digital control unit, and a read-only memory unit, The memory unit contains 16 sectors, one of which is designed for storing data associated with payment operations. Each sector contains four data blocks. The method consists in recording the number of the card and the data on the card manufacturer into the zero block of the zero sector of the memory unit, recording the access codes for data blocks, constants, the card activization data, the card revision data, and other data into the corresponding data blocks of the memory unit. The proposed device provides a possibility to improve the protection of the smart card against falsification and enhance the reliability of the card in performing financial operations.
