PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for correcting an image alignment error are provided to automatically correct the image alignment error by using a control value after measuring the image alignment error. CONSTITUTION: A reference line, a first comparing line and a second comparing line are printed(10). Then, a distance between the reference line and the first comparing line and a distance between the reference line and the second comparing line are measured and an image alignment error is calculated based on the measured distances(12). Then, a predetermined control value is calculated so as to correct the calculated image alignment error. Ink being sprayed is controlled based on the control value(14).
