摘要 PURPOSE: A method for preparing a transition metal oxide/carbon nanotube composite is provided, to allow rutile RuO2 nanocrystalline structure of uniform shape and size to be formed on a carbon nanotube. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of coating a transition metal oxide on a carbon nanotube with a uniform thickness by deposition without additional surface activating treatment; and optionally heat treating the coated one. The transition metal oxide is represented by MOx, wherein M is a transition metal. Preferably the transition metal oxide is RuO2. Preferably the deposition is carried out by chemical vapor deposition or physical deposition, and the thickness of a transition metal oxide is controlled by controlling the deposition time.
