PURPOSE: A video and audio information processor of a TV system is provided to store video information and audio information in response to characteristic of each channel, control and manage the stored video information and audio information. CONSTITUTION: A video and audio information processor of a TV system includes a channel manager(23), a program information extractor(26), a video/audio information database(25), and a video/audio controller(22). The channel manager changes a channel at a channel change request through a user interface(21) and manages channel information. The program information extractor extracts program category information at a request of the user interface. The video/audio information database stores and manages video and audio setting values using video and audio setting requests of the user interface and the channel information from the channel manager. The video/audio controller controls a display in response to the video and audio setting values.
