PURPOSE: An organic electroluminescent device is provided to prevent effectively a permeation of an outside moisture and an outside air into a device. CONSTITUTION: An organic electroluminescent device(E) comprises a first(310), a second plate(330) arranged in opposition to each other, a thin film transistor(TFT)(T) device formed at an inside of the first plate with a sub pixel unit as a minimum unit embodying a screen, an electrical connection pattern(332) forming a pillar shape and connected with the TFT device, a first electrode formed at an inner surface of the second plate, an organic electroluminescent layer formed at a bottom part of the first electrode, a second electrode formed with the sub pixel unit at a bottom part of the organic electroluminescent layer and contacted with the electrical connection pattern, a first seal pattern(350) located at a rim part of the first, the second plate and adhering with the first and the second plate, a second seal pattern(360) located at an outside of the first seal pattern and formed at a territory covering an interface part between the first, the second plate and the first seal pattern.
