METHOD FOR DIAGNOSIS OF CANCER WITH METHYLATION STATUS OF CANCER SPECIFIC GENE CAGE TO ACCURATELY DIAGNOSE VARIOUS KINDS OF CANCERS

PURPOSE: A method for diagnosis of cancer with methylation status of cancer specific gene CAGE is provided, thereby accurately diagnosing various kinds of cancers with a small amount of samples. CONSTITUTION: The method for diagnosis of cancer with methylation status of cancer specific gene CAGE comprises the steps of: (a) isolating and purifying genomic DNA from the sample of a person; (b) substituting a base cytosine(C) with a base thymine(T) in the isolated genomic DNA; (c) PCR amplifying the modified genomic DNA as a template using a primer set having a portion of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:4; and (d) subjecting the PCR amplified product to agarose gel electrophoresis to detect the PCR amplified product, wherein the primer set comprises a sense primer of SEQ ID NO:13 and an antisense primer of SEQ ID NO:14, or a sense primer of SEQ ID NO:15 and an antisense primer of SEQ ID NO:16; the cancer is breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, liver cancer, cervical cancer, rectal cancer, stomach cancer or larynx cancer; and the sample is selected from biopsy tissue, blood and formalin-fixed tissue.
