PURPOSE: A formulation for topical application to human skin containing ginsenoside Rh2 and/or ginsenoside Rg3 as an effective ingredient is provided. The dermatological formulation includes drugs, quasi-drugs and cosmetics and has excellent normalizing effect on cutaneous immune and cell-activating effect. CONSTITUTION: The formulation for topical application to human skin contains 0.0001 to 10% by weight of ginsenoside Rh2 and/or ginsenoside Rg3 in the shape of solids. The formulation is selected from creams, sprays, gelling agents, emulsions or lotions. The ginsenoside Rh2 and/or ginsenoside Rg3 are obtained by extracting Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer, Panax japonicus C. A. Meyer, Panax notoginseng (Burk. ) F. H. Chen or Panax quinquefolium (American or white ginseng) after enzymatic treatment.
