PURPOSE: A power amplifier is provided to maintain a size of a current applied for mode conversion as a low current when amplifying a signal by converting into a high power mode or a low power mode, thereby stably selecting a mode. CONSTITUTION: A power amplifier amplifies a power of a signal transceived from a terminal. A switching portion converts the signal into a high power mode or a low power mode by a low current. The switching portion consists of a transistor and a resistor for switching operations. A reference voltage having a reference level, a level output voltage of an amplified output signal, and a conversion voltage for converting a mode of the power amplifier are applied to the power amplifier.
